Finding The Light With Musical Theatre Stars

Finding the Light brings together stars of London’s West End and South African Musical Theatre in a joint celebration of the human spirit and with a mission to change lives. This musical extravaganza takes place at Artscape Opera House, Cape Town from 17 – 21 April 2024.

Accompanied by the full Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra and with Cape Town’s own Marc Lottering hosting the evening. The show is a 2-hour visual and auditory kaleidoscope that will leave you breathless.

The production offers audiences the chance to experience the exhilarating power of some of musical
theatre’s best loved shows.

100% of the proceeds from finding the light and it’s full season will go to The Kolisi Foundation. The organisation was set up by Siya and Rachel Kolisi in 2019. It tackles some of the toughest challenges facing South African communities.

Audiences can look forward to enjoying songs from shows such as “Phantom of the Opera”, “Les Miserables”, “West Side Story”, “Company” and many more.

Finding the light cast

For the first time, South African audiences will have the chance to savour performances by
Broadway and West End luminaries Kim Criswell. Olivier-award nominated for Annie Get Your Gun; “Lucy” opposite Sting in 3 Penny Opera; Cats;

Michael D. Xavier who plays Joe in Sunset Boulevard opposite Hollywood film star Glenn Close; Joe Bradley in Roman Holiday The Musical; ITV’s Grantchester;

David Habbin from West Side Story, Les Misérables, Amici Forever, and co-founder of the Finding the
Light Foundation.

Together with Broadway Star Nikki Renée Daniels who stars in Company; The Book of Mormon; Les Misérables and Hamilton.

Seasoned masters of their craft across stage, screen and recording studio.

They join South Africa’s beloved music stars, who are no strangers to international stages
themselves, Jonathan Roxmouth who stars in Phantom of the Opera, West Side Story and Cats. Alongside Lynelle Kenned from West Side Story, The Sound of Music & Orpheus in Africa. Tshepo Ncokoane in Janice Honeyman’s Peter Pan Pantomine, Kinky Boots, We Will Rock You – The Musical World Tour) and Lucy Tops headling Kinky Boots, Funny Girl and The Romantix.
