My love affair with food was spoiled rotten at the opening of the delectable Magnolia Social dining lounge for their media launch. My beautiful date, Shante Hutton, spent the day exploring the beautiful estate including the newly renovated 56-bedroom hotel and the stunning garden area.

Magnolia Social Dining Lounge has opened its doors at the Erinvale Estate Hotel and Spa, adding a third restaurant offering to this prestigious property. With bespoke custom-made pieces and soft ambient lighting, Interior Designer, Clinton Savage, has created an interior that promises to offer diners a visual sensory delight. The newly designed restaurant aims to add an innovative, modern and interactive touch to the culinary combinations.

The food was a feast for our eyes and the words of Chef Stefan Bekker explaining that food should be an experience to be remembered echoed through the room as each new dish was served.

Clinton Savage worked closely with architect, Arnold Shewan and Landscaper, Alan Dawson to ensure a functional flow for guests by blending the creative with the historic buildings and the natural environment. Emerald green and burnt orange are the focal palettes of the interior, and combined with the bespoke lighting and hexagonal brass fittings they work together resulting in an informal social dining club – a beautifully redesigned space with a bold and unique identity.

Part of the Historic Hotels Worldwide stable and with a history that dates to the early 1700s, Erinvale Estate Hotel & Spa, has evolved over the years and today is a popular destination for local and foreign visitors alike – coupled with the backdrop of the Hottentots Holland Mountains, Magnolia Social Dining Lounge is the perfect destination for diners to enjoy relaxed, casual eating.
