World of Adventure Root 44

World of Adventure Root 44

This winter season has been giving us some beautiful sunny days, we managed to score on one of these stunners when we head out to World of Adventure. Jayme, Alex and I spent a Sunday afternoon playing, eating waffles and soaking up some vitamin D.

World of Adventure can be found at the Root 44 market just off the R44 towards Stellenbosch from the N2.

We were greeted by such friendly staff and James went out of his way to make sure we knew where our table was and get us set up. The area we were seated at would be a perfect spot for a kiddies party. I was pleased to learn that it is an option for as little as R800 for 10 kids and 2 hours and you can bring in your own cake & decor. The only limitation/bonus would be that drinks and food be bought from the market.

World of adventure is open every Saturday & Sunday from 9:00 – 17:00. Ticket prices are reasonable at R20 for adults and R95 for kids for all day access. You can move between world of adventure and the root 44 market throughout the day which gives adults the opportunity to enjoy the market and some live entertainment in between the play time.

The first activity we did was the putt-putt course. Jayme always goes for this first. After he climbed up and down the many jungle gym’s and obstacle course areas they have on offer. While he did that I enjoyed some coffee and a delicious waffle from Belguim waffles.

Towards the back of the play area is a race track which is hands down Jayme’s favourite activity. We probably spent waaay to much of the day there.

They also have a dedicated area for the little kiddies. Alex was very eager for the opportunity to play in the ball pit and crawl around and explore the rest of the area. They also have a giant ball pit area for the bigger kids to enjoy next to the little area.

After all this we took an ice-cream break which we got from Shake Shack. They also make delicious ice-coffees.

World of adventure also had two jumping castle area’s. One inside and an obstacle course jumping castle outside. Jayme was really in heaven with all the play options available.

We ended off the day with some delicious Candy Floss from Belgium Waffles. Jayme wouldn’t leave without his candy floss. We have been to world of adventure quite a few times in both the summer and winter seasons and enjoyed it every time we go. It is one of my convenient go to places when I need to get out the house with the kids.

Have you been already? I would love to know what you think of World of Adventure. Let me know in the comments
